Excerpts from Events

Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Looking for Joy Looking for Joy [05:30 min] Open my eyes, and let me see the good that is in my heart. Let me admire the beauty of my existence, the simplicity of being. So many people come to listen to me with hope that I will give them something magical- A word that they can speak and all of a sudden their car that hasn't started for 15 years will start. The toilet that hasn't flushed for 30 years, will flush! It's no coincidence that story of Aladdin exists in all the culture in some form. If you open your eyes and see, you ultimate wish has already been fulfilled
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Take Advantage Take Advantage [05:26 min] I just want you to take full advantage of every single day. It's an effort, but try. You won't succeed everyday, but you must try. Be conscious, be aware of this existence, be aware of this breath. Be aware that you are alive. Thats what it is, to know yourself. Thats what it is, to know that fundamental inside of you. Thats your potential.
So, I'll bring you very good news. In this day and age, when you look at the newspaper, and it is not nice. And the news is that you are alive and within you shines the sun of joy and peace and tranquility so bright that it can make any darkness go away. Open these windows of understanding.
I have nothing to sell. It is not for sale. People have said to me, "Oh you must sell this." I can't. It's free. It's too precious, too valuable to charge for. It's free because it comes from a heart, it is a gift. For all those people who have this gift, enjoy it. Make that effort everyday.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Happiness Happiness [05:23 min] What makes you happy? Is it something you do that makes you happy? Is it a sequence of circumstances that makes you happy?
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Highest form of acceptance Highest form of acceptance [05:18 min] Speaking at an event in Hong Kong in 2009, Maharaji talks about his tour of Europe and India where hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people came to listen him and their lives were changed.
" You have to be in love with this breath- highest form of acceptance. You have to be in love with clarity- highest form of acceptance."
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Love Love [05:14 min] Falling in love is not a formality. Falling in love happens, and there's nothing you can do about it.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Feeling the Need for Peace Feeling the Need for Peace [05:11 min] Prem Rawat talks about the universal need for peace. “Not as a society,” he says, “but as an individual. I strongly believe that it is the individual that has to understand what peace is. And feel that need in their lives. Then and only then can we begin to see the movement towards peace, because the foundation is solid.”
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - The Want for Peace The Want for Peace [05:07 min] Where did the idea of peace come from? The want for peace has been on the face of this earth as long as there have been human beings, the need for peace was identified a long time ago and a very open formula was also presented to the world a long time ago and the formula said "Peace then Prosperity".

The need for peace comes from within you. It is not an intellectual peace. Peace is a desire of your heart. Because in you lies the possibility of peace. The face of peace is none other than yourself when you are in peace. Peace does not belong to any nation or society or religion. Peace belongs to people, like you and me and the peace will manifest in the cathedral of your heart. That is the only pure place that is.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Leicester event with Prem Rawat in 2008 Leicester event with Prem Rawat in 2008 [04:53 min] Speaking at Leicester Maharaji said,
“So here we are in the spring of 2008 and the tussle is on. On one side, the winter does not want to let go of its hold. On the other side, the summer, the warmth wants to break in.

On the ground are all these delicate, beautiful little plants, they are very delicate, they are fragile. Last year during the fall, they took a gamble and their gamble was, Winter will come and to survive the winter, we would need to shed our leaves, so they did.

But the true gamble was not the winter. The true gamble was that Summer will come again. And once summer comes we will be able to get on our leaves, and once again be complete.

So now they have been ready, prepared and the slightest hint of this summer coming has spurned them to start putting those leaves up.
I don’t know if you have noticed the same. But these delicate leaves, ready to make that commitment to being complete. If you have observed this then my question to you is simply this,
If spring were to come, are you too ready to bloom? Are you prepared to bloom? Are you ready for the spring in your life?

Because if you are, prepared, if you are ready, then I have some very good news for you and the news is,

Spring indeed has come!.”
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Know Thyself Know Thyself [04:49 min] I'm always fascinated by Greece. I've been coming here for a long time. It's like being in a holy place. Coming from India; that's saying something! Why? There was somebody here, long long time ago, who stood up and said something incredibly simple yet profound- "Know Thyself". Socrates!
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Do you feel blessed? Do you feel blessed? [04:45 min] In India, I got this email from this person and he said, there is this couple in South India and the guy’s wife is dying of cancer, so they would like to see you. So, we worked it out. It was a young couple, a very young couple, and I walked into the room where they were sitting. And believe me I could’nt figure out who it was, that was sick. She looked just radiant. And her grandmother was sitting on one side, her husband was sitting there, and she was sitting, and I was like, "Who is it?". The doctors had said time-out. Yet I remember her face, because she was still filled with so much hope and so much joy. And it reminded me of the flower that I had seen coming out of the rock.
The audacity - Why should you be so happy, why should you be so hopeful. Don’t you know what the doctors are saying? But there was a thankfulness, for having knowledge. For having been alive, for having this gift. And a hope, not formulated in some concrete numbers. But whatever will happen will be fine.
This I must tell you is a powerful thing. Why here, why are you using your time and energy to sprout here, go down further south, it’s better. But no, this is it. This is the place. When that flower sprouts from that rock, in the middle of the most incredibly barren land. What that flower is saying, "This is the place to be. Regardless of the consequences. And I am here and here I’ll grow, and it happens."
Hope, but hope cannot be the first thing. Knowing, understanding, and then that brings the truest hope. Let it be like that, the truest hope. Not in, "This is the specific result I want.", but in, "It will be fine." That there is indeed a blessing in my life. "Do you feel blessed?"
Blessed you are, the only thing missing, is for you to know it.
