TPRF has partnered with oxfam of Australia to help develop and implement a breakfast program for indigenous schoolchildren in northern Queensland. One of the teachers commented, "When children have skipped breakfast in the morning, their levels of concentration are limited and they start to become disruptive. This project is making a difference with the children’s learning development.
At the check-giving ceremony near Brisbane, Australia, guests were welcomed by Des Sandy, a tribal elder, followed by a presentation on the project by the oxfam representative, Jenny Sewter. After she was presented with a check, children from the Mornington Island School showed their appreciation and presented Prem Rawat some traditional gifts.
