A brief intro [03:35 min] In Ancient Greek times Agrigento or Akragas as it was known was an important walled city. It was home to the philosopher Empedocles. At the southern edge of the Greek city, temples were built and still can be seen.

The ceremony began with a beautiful local dance of the Festival of Almond Flowers, and then an opening address, before the Mayor Marco Zambuto, introduced Maharaji to light the Torch of hope, peace and International friendship.

Maharaji walked into the Teatro escorted by the mayor, once again flanked by admirers. The hall was filled with mostly local Italians and then the couple hundred of International guests who were fortunate to attend this function. The podium was first attended by the Master of Ceremony who spoke elegantly about how Argrigento is heralding a culture of peace by embracing this important relationship with Prem Rawat. Prem Rawat substantiates the feeling, for peace flourishes in his presence.

he purpose of the Peace Education Program (PEP) is to help participants discover their own inner resources—innate tools for living such as inner strength, choice, and hope—and the possibility of personal peace.
This is an innovative educational program, facilitated by volunteers, with a curriculum that consists of 10 videos, each focusing on a particular theme. These customized, interactive workshops are non-religious and non-sectarian. The content of each theme is based on excerpts from Prem Rawat’s international talks. The themes are: Peace, Appreciation, Inner Strength, Self-Awareness, Clarity, Understanding, Dignity, Choice, Hope, and Contentment.

A message of Peace [21:43 min] There are 7 billion people on the face of this earth. What do these 7 billion people want? What do they wish every day so that there is peace in their lives. This video shares perspective of people from different walks of life, and also that of Prem Rawat on various topics. For as long as human beings have been on the face of this earth, they've been searching for peace. But what does peace mean; is it just absence of war? Is it retiring to an island and never having to worry about money? What does it mean to have it?

Why peace? Whose idea is it. Is it something that we learn? Why is this world interested in peace? Regardless of all the differences, the want of every single person on the face of this earth is the same.

Houses of Parliament: London, United Kingdom [26:28 min] Prem Rawat at the Houses of Parliament in London, where the Pledge to Peace was presented. He addressed dignitaries and invited guests, stressing the importance of taking care of our fellow human beings. It's a privilege and honor to be here this evening. And it's a greater privilege and honor to address the issue of peace. Peace begins with every single human being. It is not an issue of institution. It is something that has to be felt and experienced in the heart of every single person. We do so much in this world to make a better life. Everyone tries very hard to better themselves. Yet, we spend so little time understanding the dynamics of what causes turmoil to happens. What is it inside you and me that is is pushing us to evolve into a better situation- to be more content, to be more in peace. Peace is like a seed, waiting in the desert- for water. It sees no distinction. What seed cares about, is water.

In your heart also lies this seed, wanting and waiting for nothing else than to be fulfilled. So many things have come in- priority is not to be content anymore, priority is to appease so many that are on the list to be appeased. To me, that breath coming into so many on the face of this earth, is screaming a message - 'Now'. Now in your life, be fulfilled! Now in your life, find that joy. The joy that doesn't come from the catalysts on the outside, but that is triggered when one has found the fulfillment within.
