Prem Rawat - Maharaji - You always have a choice You always have a choice [04:17 min] If you want that change, you have to make that choice.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - The Mirror The Mirror [04:18 min] ONCE THERE WAS a remote little village. The people in this village were very simple. One day, a tourist arrived. The next morning, he took out his mirror and put it up on a wall so he could shave. He cleaned up and shaved, but he forgot to take the mirror off the wall before he traveled on.

An elderly villager with gray hair, bright eyes, and a beautiful shining face saw the mirror on the wall and looked into it. He had never seen a reflection of himself, so when he saw the face in the mirror, he was mesmerized, and he said to himself, "Today, I have seen the face of God." He left - completely happy: "I have seen God."

Then a young girl came along. When she saw herself in the mirror, she was taken aback. "I have seen the most beautiful woman on the face of this earth. When I grow up, this is what I want to look like!"

And then came along a man who had lost his father not too long before. He looked in the mirror and said, "Oh, my God! I have seen my father again."

Now, the three people who had seen themselves in the mirror started to get very upset. The older man wanted the mirror, because this is where he had seen the face of his god. The young girl wanted the mirror, because this is what she wanted to look like. And the third man wanted the mirror, because in it he had seen his father again.

They started arguing, and before long, fights were breaking out all over the village. Everybody was unhappy, because whoever went to the room and looked in the mirror on the wall- whatever they saw, they liked, and they all wanted the mirror for themselves.

Finally, a wise man happened to come by. When he saw what was going on in the village, he asked, "Why are you all fighting?"

Different people answered: "I want this thing because this is my god," or "This is who I want to be," or "This is my father," or "This is my this; this is my that."

So he asked for the magical thing to be taken down from the wall and brought to him. He looked at it and said, "Don't you know what this is? This is a mirror."

He called the old man, and he said, "You did not see the face of God. You saw yourself."

He called the young girl, and he said, "You did not see the most beautiful woman. You saw yourself."

He called the third man, and he said, "You did not see your father; you saw yourself. You look like your father, and that's why you thought you saw him, but it was you."

One by one, he called everyone and said, "What you see in this mirror, what you like in this mirror, is not the mirror. It's you!"

Now, how does this story relate to peace? You see, peace begins with each one of us. We have forgotten our own self, our own need. We like to talk about food, and we have become very good at it, but does that mean that we don't need to eat anymore? No. You can talk about food all day long. No problem. But sooner or later you've got to eat. This is my little bit of wisdom for you. Hunger does not look at anything else; it looks at being satisfied. And the hunger for peace comes from within you. It is not an intellectual idea.

Peace is the desire of the heart. Your heart. And it is as simple as the coming and going of the breath. Breath. This is how the movie of life begins. And how does the movie end?

Just recently, somebody's father passed away, and this person said to me, "We were all waiting till he had taken his last breath." Once again - breath. I know we're fascinated by the in-between part. This is what we live for, this is why we exist. That's all fine. I'm not criticizing that. But you should never, ever forget the importance of where your life began. And where it will end.

Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Conversation with a Cancer patient Conversation with a Cancer patient [05:03 min] This clip has been taken from an event which took place in Barcelona on 19th Dec, 2010. Maharaji talks to a lady who is suffering from Cancer.

Woman: "I'm going through Hard times because I'm ill. Nevertheless I feel so much hope and so much Joy. It's very surprising to me, I surprise myself!"

Maharaji: You have strength inside of you, hope inside of you. Dig it, and use it. Everyday! If you have cancer, Be a Cancer to the Cancer! And understand that ultimately you have to go. When? Nobody can tell you. But this illness, fight it. Fight and defeat this illness. If you can't, keep fighting it. That's the warrior in you. You thought you had to fight many wars, finally here is one war. Fight it. A warrior fights and fights and fights till the fight is no more.

You have knowledge, incredible source of strength. Why? I will tell you why. Because with this illness, your mind will come and eat you alive. Because this mind, will come and chew you up, at night, at day, every moment, beat you. Anything that can put this much distance between the mind and you is good. And knowledge can do that.

Best thing you can do, to beat this disease, is to enjoy every day. Because this is what it takes away from you. This is life. Your objective always has been since day one to enjoy every day that you have been given. No matter what happens in your life, your objective should not ever change. People get divorced, their loved ones go away. Your objective still should be the truest enjoyment of this heart. I strongly believe, thats why you were put here on the face of this earth.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Animation: Four Prophets & Search for Happiness Animation: Four Prophets & Search for Happiness [05:05 min] This is an interesting depiction of how we tend to complicate our lives trying to make it simple.

In the beginning he worked alone. He ploughed the fields and worked hard in the clear blue skies. His work was hard and sweat rolled from his brow. But life was good and he enjoyed the peace of his existence. So, the seed was set for the arrival of the first prophet.

First Prophet: What you have done here is good, but imagine if you joined in with others in your labour. You would produce much more, you could share the fruits of your efforts and in the adding of your resources will come welfare. These will allow you greater time to enjoy the serenity you seek.

And the man believed the wisdom of the prophet and began to work in union with others. He saw it was true that by combining efforts and working as a community, they became more prosperous. However, he found, it took a lot of his time to do this and he missed the quiet times he once enjoyed. But life was good and the scene was set for the second prophet.

Second Prophet: I say this one to you now, mechanise your tasks, create machines to do this manual labour. Then, the time enriches you desire, will be abundant.

The man felt again that there was wisdom in these words, so he created machines, great machines of all kinds and he did become wealthier. But the gift of time he did not have, now he hurried to keep up with these machines. He wished he could have more time just to tell others what they needed to do. Now, the idea of having time to do nothing at all was quite absurd. If only he could do more with the time he had. And again, the scene was set for the next prophet.

Third Prophet: To take the next step on the road of progress, you will need to be able to communicate to any person, anywhere. So, I provide you with an amazing gift, the age of communication. Because you will not have to travel to see people and communication would be instant, you will prosper like never before and will have all the time you require.

An old fable says, "Be careful what you wish for, it may come true." Every moment was taken up with communication. It was a monster that extracted an enormous price. Every moment of his attention. There was no escape! No time off! For now, whoever wanted his attention, had it at any moment they chose. His age demanded him learn how to do many things at one time. He felt he could no longer cope. He no longer even understood, what it was that he was striving for. And then this time the fourth prophet appeared. But the man no longer believed this wise prophet and he hid in fear and distrust.

Fourth Prophet: Do not be afraid for what you truly seek has been hidden by all you have heard and all you do. Every quest you have embarked on was like a spider’s web. Each struggle to free yourself only acted to enslave you. Look within your own heart to find your way back. You will find it in the only place you have not looked. In you, there is this breath. That is the foundation of being fulfilled.

Every human being is searching,
but no one knows what they are searching for.
In your life,
let the miracle of life come true.
Let it happen for you.
