Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Maharaji at Nagaur, Rajasthan- 11th Nov 2009 Maharaji at Nagaur, Rajasthan- 11th Nov 2009 [63:48 min] This event was held at Nagaur in Rajasthan on 11th November 2009. Nagaur is the land where Meera Bai was born. Maharaji said,
Hit-anhit pashu pakhsiye jaana,
Manush tan gun-gyaan nidhaana.
Whatever you do in your life, all is covered in this "Hit-anhit". But even animals and birds know what is good for them and what is bad. What do you think of when you get up in the morning? You think of your daily chores, you think about your work. People who do not go out for work think that they have to make their kitchen. Do you know even a crow gets up in the morning, at times even before you. And what does he do after getting up, he thinks how will he get the days food. So, we think we are a human being but we do the same what birds and animals do. So, where is the difference? The difference is that, being a human being, you can attain self-knowledge. There are so many forms of knowledge in this world. The knowledge of art of cooking, knowledge of the art of studying and so on. But amongst all, it has been said that "self-knowledge" is the most supreme of all knowledge. Kabir Das ji has said,
Vidhi-hari-har jaako dhyaan karat hain, Muni jan sahas atthasi,
Soi hans tere ghat maahi, Alakh purush avinashi.
That supreme being is within you. The one who created the entire universe, made his home in your heart.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Narkher, Maharashtra- 21st Nov 2009 Narkher, Maharashtra- 21st Nov 2009 [59:45 min] This event was held at Narkher also called Narkhed in Nagpur district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Maharaji quoted,
Paahan Pooje hari mile, to main poojun pahad,
Isse to chakki bhali, pees khaaye sansar.
People are caught in concepts and convictions, but god has created this earth. And if god himself has created this world, why will it not be heaven. Do you accept this? Is this not heaven? And which heaven do you think about, the one which can be attained after death. If you are a true scholar, then understand that this earth, is heaven. And if someone has turned this heaven to hell, then it is man. You have been given this beautiful gift of existence but you have not opened this gift as yet. This breath comes again and again, this gift of existence is showered upon you, but you do not understand its value. God is everywhere. Understand, reflect and think on this and make your life successful. This is the opportunity.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Event at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh- 17th Nov 2009 Event at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh- 17th Nov 2009 [55:17 min] Kanpur is the ninth most populous city in India and the largest within the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the second largest city of the entire Hindi speaking belt only after Delhi. It was formerly known as the "Manchester of the East", and the economic capital of Uttar Pradesh. Kanpur is located on the banks of the river Ganga. On 17th November 2009, at an event held in Kanpur, Maharaji said,
Since I was young, I have been telling people how fortunate they are, because they have been given this gift of existence. And I am doing the same now. You may belong to any religion. You can still practice this knowledge, it does not matter whether you belong to this religion or that. If you want to go to heaven, experience the heaven in this life. If at all there is salvation, it is in this life that you can attain it. If you have still not discovered yourself, if you are still ignorant, then it is the biggest inauspicious thing that can happen to you. I can save you from this inauspiciousness. I can give you that knowledge, if you come to me with that sincerity. Whatever I give, I will give it as a gift from a human being to the other. Come from that sincere place within you.

Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Bangalore, India- February 2012 Bangalore, India- February 2012 [50:33 min] On February 11th, Maharaji traveled to Bangalore: a major city sometimes termed the "Silicon Valley of India" for its technology industry. A field had been set up with stage, screen and seats, ready to accommodate hundreds of eager listeners. As the day faded, Maharaji spoke to his audience about the nature of true thirst- and how, while that thirst is innate, we can easily forget it's there.

You look beautiful when peace dances on your face. That's when you look beautiful. And that is your true form- you don't know this form. This is your thirst, and you don't know your thirst. This is your hunger, but you don't know this hunger. And the day you recognize your true hunger, your true thirst, then everything will change for you. Because what you're looking for, you will find within you, very close to you. That's my message.

When it comes to matters of the heart, how can you compromise? The heart will not accept it. The heart wants the reality. The heart wants experience. Not somebody sitting there and telling you that you've had food- you've eaten, and it's done. What is done? So, I say that you're thirsty. You are thirsty to experience that supreme bliss.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Event at Chandrapur, Maharashtra- 22nd November 2009 Event at Chandrapur, Maharashtra- 22nd November 2009 [46:32 min] What I want to tell you is truly very simple. God says to Arjun, "Neither through pilgrimage, nor through fasting, neither through giving, nor through virtue, can you gain my knowledge." Because if you do not know the truth, whatever you know becomes a lie. If you do not know the truth, then you will not be able to realize whether you are after the truth or after something which is fake. There are so many religions in this world. All of us are vessels in which the same water is filled. The only difference is in the vessel, it is the same water which fills all the vessels. Truth dwells within you.
Tera saai tujh mein, jyon pushpan mein vaas,
Kasturi ka mrig jo, ban ban dhoonde ghaas.
Do you know the creator who dwells in your heart? We search him everywhere on the outside, but never realize that he is seated in our heart. If at all there is heaven, it is here, in this world. Mukti does not happen after death, it happens here.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Maharaji in Navada Bihar, India 2009 Maharaji in Navada Bihar, India 2009 [45:01 min] Today the weather is also very pleasant. Last time we did event in Patna and the weather was equally pleasant. Seems like God has special arrangement for these places. You all have come to listen, and I have to say a lot of things, but I will put forward my main points for you to think. In this world if you ask if they think about self knowledge. They say they don't have time, we will do it later. People think "earn eat and have fun". Now that you people have come, I will explain you. Even I have come to say the same thing "Earn, Eat, and have fun!". But what you should earn, is different. World thinks money, I say earn the name of God 'Satnaam'- The Truth. There are many businessmen out there. I'm also a businessmen.
hum to satnaam vyaapari
koi koi laade kaasaan peetal
koi koi laung supari
hum to ladyo naam dhani ko
puran khet hamari.
Everyone wants to go to heaven. Many people give out things and money also, to earn good deeds so that they get heaven after death. I don't talk of heaven after death. I talk of heaven being alive.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Maharaji at Jaipur, 16th November 2008 Maharaji at Jaipur, 16th November 2008 [44:44 min] This event was held in Jaipur on 16th November 2008. Maharaji says that his words are not mere words, but an experience. We have our own way of looking at things in our life. If one sees with the eyes of religion then he will see whatever religion has taught him. But if, one sees with his heart and with true benevolence, then only will he see the true god himself.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Andheri Sports complex Mumbai Andheri Sports complex Mumbai [41:54 min] Maharaji explained that all people have needs. Some are basic needs such as thirst, hunger, or sleep that need to be satisfied. Numerous businesses have been created to satisfy these needs. In many ways it could be said that the world is need-driven. On the other hand, many needs, he said, have been created by society, and it is society that tells us we should fulfill them. Trying to fulfill these needs that are not our real needs often becomes stressful. We long for more money or for a better job, but these are not our fundamental needs. They are dictated by the society, and they will never be satisfied completely. He explained that the true need is the need that the heart believes to be true. Since we cannot fulfill all our needs, at least we need to fulfill the one main need we can fulfill, the one need that the heart knows to be true.

The true need, he said, is within the heart, and it is up to the heart to say what it is. It needs to be experienced for oneself. Unless peace is experienced in the heart, he continued, a person will remain unsatisfied. When the heart is at peace, on the other hand, the need to satisfy a long list of needs is replaced by an expression of gratitude for being alive.

He added that however deep the darkness may be, a lamp is always burning within us, and that within us are the answers that we are looking for. We search for questions because we think they will lead us to answers, but at some point we need to search for answers. If we find answers without the questions, he concluded, that would be very good.
