Numerous businesses have been created to satisfy these needs. In many ways it could be said that the world is need-driven. On the other hand, many needs, he said, have been created by society, and it is society that tells us we should fulfill them. Trying to fulfill these needs that are not our real needs often becomes stressful. We long for more money or for a better job, but these are not our fundamental needs. They are dictated by the society, and they will never be satisfied completely. He explained that the true need is the need that the heart believes to be true. Since we cannot fulfill all our needs, at least we need to fulfill the one main need we can fulfill, the one need that the heart knows to be true.

The true need, he said, is within the heart, and it is up to the heart to say what it is. It needs to be experienced for oneself. Unless peace is experienced in the heart, he continued, a person will remain unsatisfied. When the heart is at peace, on the other hand, the need to satisfy a long list of needs is replaced by an expression of gratitude for being alive.

He added that however deep the darkness may be, a lamp is always burning within us, and that within us are the answers that we are looking for. We search for questions because we think they will lead us to answers, but at some point we need to search for answers. If we find answers without the questions, he concluded, that would be very good.

Quoting from sanskrit scripture [08:45 min] There is a saying

Maal mulakh ki kaun chalawe
Jab nahi chale shareer

People take so much pride in their country, in their flag. But if this body doesn't work then what good is all other things?
This is the drop because of which your ocean exists. All the rivers of your life exist. When the master comes and tells you about this drop, you doubt him! "Can this drop form a river?" Forget the river, this drop is the reason for the ocean to exist.

Mukta fale ki kim pakchi nancha
(No use of putting pearl in front of the bird)
Misthan paanam kim gardha vanam

andhe swadeepo, vridhe sudhana

You ask people where are they going. "Oh we're going for katha (traditional story-telling). Ramayan katha". So who will listen to your story? Have you ever been to your own katha. What is written in Ramayana?

A true master will tell your story to you. People go to famous astrologers. But what has all saints said, that nobody is willing to listen to. This is just one sided command- Just fulfill my dream, that's all. I don't want listen to what you say "Don't get entangled in the web of this world.". We don't want to listen to all this, just fulfill what I'm asking for!

It is very important for you that you stay happy, in joy! That's why we named God as "Sat chit anand". Sat (Truth)- It's is within you. Chit (consciousness)- is within you as well. Anand (Bliss)- Where the creator is present, how can bliss not be there!

Baran, Rajasthan- 2014 [06:44 min] It is obvious- there must be some power which created this Sun. Because of some power, there are all these trees and plants, this Earth rotates, moon exists. But why does human still argue the existence of this power? You'll have to grasp it through your heart, not through your mind.

Main kaun hoon? [32:37 min] There are two questions
1) Why am I here?
2) Who am I?
So I started thinking on which one of the two is better question. If you get to know on who you're, then it won't be long before you understand on what I'm doing here.

Let me first introduce you, to you. So far you've been introduced to others. All things that are manufactured, like cellphone, address books, computers etc; what do we use it for? To learn about other's contacts. So what is our address, our number? Where did we come from? Where will we go? How many names do we know? And what is our real name?
These are big questions; not small ones! If you take all these questions in a bucket, we'll see that there are many ideas around these questions.

Everyone wants to go to heaven. Many people give out things and money also, to earn good deeds so that they get heaven after death. I don't talk of heaven after death. I talk of heaven being alive.

Maharaji quoted,People are caught in concepts and convictions, but god has created this earth. And if god himself has created this world, why will it not be heaven. Do you accept this? Is this not heaven? And which heaven do you think about, the one which can be attained after death. If you are a true scholar, then understand that this earth, is heaven. And if someone has turned this heaven to hell, then it is man. You have been given this beautiful gift of existence but you have not opened this gift as yet. This breath comes again and again, this gift of existence is showered upon you, but you do not understand its value. God is everywhere. Understand, reflect and think on this and make your life successful. This is the opportunity.

Because if you can understand what I am trying to say, I say truly that your life will change. Whatever questions you had in your life will turn into answers. Whatever troubles or confusions you have will evaporate. So, what is it, on understanding which, ones life can change so much? And this is not about religion, I have not come here to promote any religion. It is about you.

Is Parmanand just a word or an experience? [41:30 min] There are two things that call out to you: Your heart, and your mind.
There has been calling from the heart, and you need to recognize that. People get more into naming it. What lies in the name? If I call by any other name, will it stop shining for me? Whatever name I use to call the creator, it won't make a difference. The nature doesn't care about the name.
In my life 'parmanand' is not just a theory. It is experience for me. In your life too 'parmanand' shouldn't be just a word; you have experience of parmanand. There's a been a lot about the word. It's time for experience now.

I'm talking about the thing which keeps going on in you, whether you're happy, or whether you're sad. It goes regardless of everything else. What is it?

He Ram, tere naam ka mujhko aadhar hai
Andhe ko jaise laakdi
Tan ka sahaar hai

When sadness comes in people's life, they need support. There are a lot of people who tell how to prevent sadness. But master says "Sadness will come anyways."

Nanak Dukhiya sub sansara
Sukhiya kewal naam adhaara

Will it rain? Yes it will. If not today, tomorrow! And when it happens, will you have the umbrella or not? If you've the umbrella, you won't get wet. I'm referring rain to sadness. The day you will have to get wet, you'll pin-point and blame everyone for your sadness. You won't even spare God. But you'll be the real reason for the situation.

The creator has given you everything. The creator has given you everything that you need, everything that you require. We don't have the means to extract nectar from flowers like the honeybees. Human beings can go to the moon, but if we want honey, we need the bees.

In this human body that we have, there is a desire to have joy, bliss. And there is no limit to how much joy we can receive.

Bangalore, India- February 2012 [50:33 min] On February 11th, Maharaji traveled to Bangalore: a major city sometimes termed the "Silicon Valley of India" for its technology industry. A field had been set up with stage, screen and seats, ready to accommodate hundreds of eager listeners. As the day faded, Maharaji spoke to his audience about the nature of true thirst- and how, while that thirst is innate, we can easily forget it's there.

You look beautiful when peace dances on your face. That's when you look beautiful. And that is your true form- you don't know this form. This is your thirst, and you don't know your thirst. This is your hunger, but you don't know this hunger. And the day you recognize your true hunger, your true thirst, then everything will change for you. Because what you're looking for, you will find within you, very close to you. That's my message.

When it comes to matters of the heart, how can you compromise? The heart will not accept it. The heart wants the reality. The heart wants experience. Not somebody sitting there and telling you that you've had food- you've eaten, and it's done. What is done? So, I say that you're thirsty. You are thirsty to experience that supreme bliss.
