Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Events with Prem Rawat Events with Prem Rawat [09:24 min] The charged up compilation video showcasing a typical year that is lived by Prem Rawat! Videos of Maharaji's events are aired in many countries around US, UK, Brazil, and Australia. It has received awards and rewards in most countries for being a positive change in people's lives.

This is about us, this is about being alive. This is the opportunity- Take that opportunity. You're not going to be here forever. You're not. Don't be under any illusion. But don't let that sadden you and don't let that madden you. Just feel the urgency of today, that's all. Just put that sharpness on what it means to be alive today. What is important is this breath, look at that!

Lot of exciting things, I think a lot of events are going to happen. Indian, not the most together people in this world, but when it comes to putting up events on Peace, they just outdid themselves. Some of these events you see with 100,000 people, 5000 people are with Knowledge. Rest all are guests, they are all invited. I've satted a stage with 250,000 people looking at me. You have gone to football field where 100,000 or 150,000 people are there. But they are not looking at you. I've been in the place where 250,000 people are looking at me and I'm looking at them- Just a human beings. I really just like to see a person as a human being. Not as man-woman, rich-poor, this-that, just human being.

Professor: (from IIT Delhi in NRCVEE) I would like to know from you Maharaji, what message do you have for millions of poor people in this country. They have lots and lots of problem. What kind of message would you have for them?

Maharaji: My message to them is exactly same as for the one has two square meals a day. And not two meters, but miles of land to them. Because after you have eaten and your hunger is gone, there is still inner contentment to be had. It is upto us to take away the poverty from the face of this earth. And may be that solution begins when a person can feel the peace in their life and they finally look around to see what is possible.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Success Success [09:44 min] This event was recorded on July 23, 2009 in a television studio in Bristol, England. An enthusiastic group of university students and young professionals requested the opportunity to meet with Prem Rawat in a casual setting to speak candidly with him about his work in the world. Following is a question which one of the students asked him about success, and Maharaji answered the perfect way.

Question: First of all, I just want to say thanks for what you do. It is really encouraging to see that someone would spend so much time to make peace. And I think you do, and I want to say thanks for that. My question is to someone who wants to have a successful life. I guess my question is what you consider to be real success and how that might relate to peoples ambitions and their career.

Maharaji: Well, you know success is when you feel successful. There could be people who, by the definition of this world are extremely successful. But they don’t feel successful, so they have to succeed by pushing themselves even more, and more, and more and more.
You read these stories, once in a while, they come out, and they are like so and so killed themselves. And you go, wait a minute, the person was such a good actor, he was so accoomplished, he was so good, his career was just taking off, how could he do that. You know, you looked at the list of the world that said well, this person was successful, but that person did not feel successful. Then you might have a farmer who has not much. May be, no education, nothing in terms of worldly possesssions and may be, not even a long list of ambitions, but one day he goes out and he looks at his crop and its just beautiful. Just golden wheat, waving in the wind, not a cloud in the sky. The crop is almost ready. Everything is good and it brings a smile to his face because he has succeeded. He feels the success.
You can always try to say, I need to be successful in this world. But first of all, first thing is first, are you successful as a human being? Because if you are not successful as a human being, it does not matter what you have gathered. What you have accomplished. You are not going to feel successful.
So, what does it mean to be successful as a human being? Well, it begins with those simple things. The ability to enjoy and to use that ability. The ability to be kind and to use the ability to be kind. See this is the thing and you have this. And it isn’t a question of, I wish I was kinder. Well you have more kindness in you than you will ever need. But do you consciously use that kindness. You have in you all the clarity that you could ever, ever want or desire, but will you use that? And we become very good, at anger, we become very good, at judgement. Everybody judges us, we turn around judge everybody else. I am not this, or I am this, or I have done this, or I haven’t done this, I want to do this and so we come with a list and off course the world just chips in. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Right now, this particular time, started few months ago and its really interesting because that word "Success" has come to a grinding halt. All these people, who were just, were successful. I mean there was not a question if they weren’t successful. Their report card said A++++. They were the ones who were literally setting the bar that all of us would aspire to be at. All of a sudden went into a tizzy. Some actually committed suicide. Some are in jail. Some are packing to go to jail. Fortunes have been destroyed and people are wondering what happened. Well, would you say, could those people, even in their bad situation, could they feel successful? Well, no, not when you look at the report card of the world. They are bad people. All of a sudden, they have turned from successful to really bad people. But they are still human beings, they are still alive. Does that mean anything?
We have jails, prisons overflowing around the world. Are they not people? Are they not human beings? Do they have no good in them? Because potentially, we all carry the good and carry the bad. It is our conscious decision that makes the difference. Whether we judge or don’t judge, it is our conscious decision, whether we commit a crime or don’t, or try not to.
And this is that realm, that is of great interest to me. Because if you are successful as a human being, you’ve got it. You have got it made. If you want to be a magician, thats fine, but thats your gift. That is your exploration of the gift that you have. See, I believe everybody has a gift, we need to find what that is and get on with it. And you may ultimately, one day, play so well, so well that you like it. And it may not bring you all the fame in the world. The gold discs, and the platinum discs, nothing. But you enjoy it. Would you consider that to be successful or unsuccessful. I would consider that to be successful.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - The Time has Come The Time has Come [04:17 min] You want to do something really fun? Really cool? Really neat? Really beautiful? Really worth doing? Do you? Then work on bringing peace on earth. Lot of people, I think are waiting that some people on the moon are gonna come and bring peace to us. It is not happening. We have to take care on our own, all of us. Because scientifically its proven, a biiig distance is nobody else, except us. So, start to like your neighbour because you know what, you are stuck with them. Nobody else around, except us. Good, bad, right, wrong, us, us, us. I am so proud of all of you who could come to participate in not definition of peace, but to realize the possibility, that maybe, through our efforts, one day, there will be peace on earth. If we can go to the moon. Why not? It’s an old idea, I agree. May be, having peace on earth, is a very old idea. But may be the time has come, the time has come. The time is now.
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - European Parliament in Brussels European Parliament in Brussels [24:23 min] Mr. Rawat spoke of the universal need for peace to a diverse audience of Members of
  • the European Parliament
  • Diplomats
  • Local leaders
  • honored guests from many countries
In my opinion the ideal should be to have peace on this earth, where people feel and celebrate having peace. We talk about prosperity; in my formula, and this is only because I've observed, Prosperity without peace is chaos. Everybody is wondering what is going on? Isn't just a few years ago everybody was proud- 'Yes the Economy!' Then all of a sudden, prosperity without peace leads to chaos. If we want to avoid this chaos, then we've to work on what peace really is. That peace is not a monastery, peace is not absence of noise, not absence of war. Peace is not a declaration. Peace is a fundamental human need that needs to be felt from within. I'm paraphrasing the UN charter- "It's in the minds of men, of human beings, that the wars are created". That's where it comes from. And I just want to add this much "That it is from the hearts of the human beings that peace will be created"

There are people who give 5 reasons or 6 reasons why there shouldn't be peace on this earth. I've 6.5 billion reason on why there should be peace on this earth! This is the time when the nations need to come together. Because remember it is those Kings and rulers in whose rule peace reigned that were considered the most successful ruler- and prosperity followed. These are not impossible dreams. This can be a reality that we can have. Question remains whether we want to do it or not.

At the end of the event Vice President of European Parliament and Italian MEP, Mr. Gianni Pittella, personally thanked Mr. Rawat for his insights, declaring that:

"Today, peace is considered an irreplaceable factor in every effort for a society that is based on the dignity of the individual and on common welfare.
However, any effort for peace made by institutions cannot fully succeed if the value of peace is not deeply rooted in every person's heart."
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Have you ever been bored? Have you ever been bored? [01:14 min] Have you ever been bored? You don't have to answer that. But may I present a thought- how could you be bored ever, when the most exciting thing is happening in your life?

Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Glowing memories Glowing memories [03:00 min] Prem Rawat speaking in Barcelona, Spain.
I was talking to somebody whose mother passed away. And this person was "What about this, what about that". And I said something to him that even I liked it!

I said, "think of her as the earth and the moon. Moon came from the earth, and as it separated and went out, it's just there. It's not part of the earth anymore, but it's just there. Going around the earth beautifully, affecting it. Every night, every day- making the tides, the life, the motion. All you have to do, is look up and see the reflection of sun on it's beautiful surface- Glowing. For those who go, think of them the same way. Your little world, now they're the moon, and hopefully they're going to affect you in the most beautiful way that you're going to remember. On the night when it is really dark they'll glow for you, not only to admire but maybe see by."
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - International Peace day message from UNIPAZ Peace Ambassador International Peace day message from UNIPAZ Peace Ambassador [01:57 min] This is short message Maharaji shared on the International Peace day, as a UNIPAZ Peace Ambassador. Transcript of the video:

Hi, my name is Prem Rawat, and I'm so glad to be participating in International Peace Day. The importance of peace is for all of us. Sometimes we forget how important it is. But to be reminded that this is what our heart wants, that this is what is going to make a difference in this world, that this is the thirst for every single human being on the face of this earth.

We have many ideas, we have many projects, but to be a part of this noble cause that the peace be on this earth, that the peace dances in the heart of human beings, is amazing. It's incredible and to be a part of that, to understand it and to make it possible. I am just one small voice. It is when all the voices of the world will join together that this could become a reality. It is time. We have fought our wars, We have had our wars. But it is time now for peace, peace in the heart of all human beings. In the future generations to come, this is what they need. This is what we need. This is what our hearts have desired for such a long time. And to see the enthusiasm around the world from those people who want to make this a reality is simply amazing.

So once again thank you, thank you so much to be a part of this beautiful beautiful endeavor. Thank you
Prem Rawat - Maharaji - Notes on Peace - Library of Foreign Literature, Moscow Notes on Peace - Library of Foreign Literature, Moscow [15:07 min] On June 29, 2012, Prem Rawat addressed as keynote speaker at an event called Notes on Peace, held at Moscow's nationally renowned Library of Foreign Literature. On his first visit to Russia, Prem Rawat was greeted by some of Moscow's leading academics and university students interested in exploring the subject of peace. Opening the event was a virtuoso pianist who played a beautiful Tchaikovskymoscow sonata, giving a uniquely Russian ambience at the library theatre.

The Rector of Synergy University, Professor Uriy Rubin then addressed the audience, talking about the history of the young university, the subjects taught, and its interest in peace. Ismail Akhmetov gave a warm introduction and welcome to Prem Rawat.

Prem Rawat spoke in simple terms, making the point that people look to world leaders to bring peace, but in reality it already exists within each person. He illustrated this perspective with stories and facts that were deeply appreciated by the audience.
